Stewardship
Stewardship is sharing your time, talent, and treasure to further God’s work in our church, community, and the world.
Now there are
varieties of gifts,
but the same Spirit;
and there are
varieties of services,
but the same Lord;
and there are
varieties of activities,
but it is the same God
who activates all of them
in everyone...
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
How can I participate?
To give of your time and talent, look over the many groups and outreach activities that are a part of Trinity’s ministry, and then join them – they welcome all volunteers. To give of your treasure, pledge and donate.
Why should I pledge?
You can donate to the church without pledging, and those donations are gratefully received. But we must budget for the coming year, and pledges provide an estimate for the amount of money that we can expect. Without that estimate, we can’t fully support internal and external outreach activities.
How much should I give?
Give what you can. Recognize that your giving supports the operations of the parish, the upkeep and operation of the church, contributions to the diocese, and outreach to the community and world. But we value every gift and giver.
How do I pledge?
Just fill out the form available here or from the church office. Fill it out and return it to the church office or drop it into the collection plate. You can also use the online form at the bottom of this page.
How should I pay?
Just write a check to Trinity, include “pledge” on the memo line of the check, and drop it into the collection plate. Pledge donations can be made weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. Tax statements are issued quarterly for those who deduct their contributions from their income taxes.
Can I change my pledge?
Of course. Financial circumstances change and we expect that pledges to Trinity will change accordingly. In fact, we would rather know about changes to pledges than guess based on changes in giving.
Can I pledge anonymously?
The amount that you pledge is always kept strictly confidential. That information is available only to the Treasurer, the Parish Administrator, who must keep accounts, and the Stewardship Chairperson, who must raise the money. The clergy prefer not to know who gives what.
Questions?
Please address any questions to the rector, any member of the vestry, or the church office. They will get it to the proper person and make sure that your question is answered correctly and completely.
