Altar Guild
Most gracious Father, Who has called me, Your child, to serve in the preparation of Your Altar, so that it may be a suitable place for the offering of Your Body and Blood; Sanctify my life and consecrate my hands so that I may worthily handle those Sacred Gifts which are being offered to You. Amen
The Altar Guild has the privilege of preparing all the things necessary for the celebration of the Eucharist or any of the other sacraments and offices of the church, and assisting the clergy whenever necessary. The members are responsible for preparing the altar for services, caring for the sacred vessels, caring for the linens used on the altar, and changing the liturgical hangings. Preparations for weddings, funerals, and baptisms are also the responsibility of guild members. For special feast days, the guild decorates the church appropriately for the occasion with the help of other parishioners.
The Flower Guild creates weekly arrangements and works with those wishing to honor an occasion or event by placing flowers on the altar. Being on the Altar Guild gives you the opportunity to be an integral part of the worship at Trinity.
